Challenges FAQs

Updated this week

General questions about Challenges

1. What is a challenge in Supergrow?

A challenge is a time-bound advocacy contest designed to motivate team members to create and publish content on LinkedIn.

As an Org Owner, you:

  • Invite team members

  • Define the duration and rules

  • Add a reward

  • Let Supergrow track activity and show a leaderboard automatically

Challenges exist to drive consistent participation.

2. Why should a company run challenges?

Because employee advocacy fails without motivation.

Challenges help companies:

  • Increase LinkedIn posting consistency

  • Activate silent or inactive team members

  • Create momentum without micromanagement

  • Make content creation feel rewarding and visible

Teams that motivate and recognize participation see much higher adoption of employee advocacy.

Creating & Managing Challenges

3. How many challenges can be active at the same time?

You can run multiple challenges at the same time.

Best practice:

  • Start with one active challenge

  • Add more only when teams are comfortable with the format

Too many challenges at once dilute focus.

4. How do I manage challenges (create, edit, cancel, delete)?

As a challenge owner in Supergrow, you can manage challenges directly from the Challenges section.

What you can edit in an existing challenge

You can update the following details even after creating a challenge:

  • Challenge name

  • Challenge description

  • Scheduled start and end dates

  • Reward description

These edits help you clarify intent or adjust timelines without breaking the challenge.

Cancelling a challenge

  • You can cancel a challenge at any time

  • Cancelling a challenge means closing it early

  • No further activity will be tracked once a challenge is cancelled

This is useful if:

  • The challenge is no longer relevant

  • You want to stop it before the scheduled end date

Deleting a challenge

  • You can also delete an existing challenge

  • Deleting removes the challenge completely

Use deletion when:

  • A challenge was created by mistake

  • You don’t want it visible anymore

Summary

As a challenge owner, you can:

  • Create challenges

  • Edit key details (name, description, dates, rewards)

  • Cancel (close) a challenge

  • Delete a challenge

All challenge management happens inside the Challenges section.

Challenge Types & Rules

5. How are challenge scores calculated?

Total Score is the accumulation of Post, Post weight, comment, comment weight, reaction, reaction weight, share, and share weight.

Metric

Weight

Post

10.0

Comment

2.0

Reaction

Total score = (posts × post weight) + (comments × comment_weight) + (reactions × reaction_weight) + (shares × share_weight)

Supergrow handles scoring behind the scenes.

You can invite:

  • Any team member who has joined your organization

7. Can I customize scoring logic?

Currently, scoring logic is standardized to keep challenges fair and simple.

This avoids:

  • Gaming the system

  • Confusion among participants

  • Complex rules that reduce participation

However, we have plans to allow companies to customize the scoring login as per their needs.

Inviting & Managing Participants

Yes. Challenges are organization-wide, not workspace-limited.

You can invite team members from:

Yes. A team member can:

If a LinkedIn account is not connected:
