What is Content DNA?
Content DNA is your comprehensive LinkedIn content blueprint. It consists of five interconnected layers that define:
Identity Core - The foundation (who you are)
Voice Signature - How you communicate
Content Pillars - What you create
Positioning Layer - Your unique angle
Audience Field - Who you reach
Think of it as your professional identity map; each layer builds on the previous one to create a complete picture of your LinkedIn brand.
Why Content DNA Matters
Without Content DNA:
Posts feel generic or inconsistent
Struggling to find topics to write about
Unclear who you're writing for
Content doesn't reflect your expertise
With Content DNA:
Clear content strategy and direction
Consistent voice across all posts
Know exactly what topics to cover
Content resonates with the right audience
AI-generated posts sound authentically like you
Content DNA powers Supergrow's AI features, ensuring every post generated matches your unique professional identity.

Step 4: Understand the Content DNA Structure
Your Content DNA is displayed as concentric circles.
Each circle (layer) represents a different part of your professional identity.
Step 5: Explore Each Layer
Click on any layer to view detailed insights about that specific aspect, such as positioning, expertise, tone, audience, or themes.
Layer 1: Identity Core (Blue - Center)
"The Foundation"
This is the innermost circle, your fundamental professional identity.
What it includes:
Current Role:
Your name, position, and company
Industry and years of experience
Example: "Bhuvana Shankar, Customer Success Specialist at Supergrow"
Professional Stats:
Years of experience (e.g., "2 years")
Team size you work with (e.g., "Small (10-50 employees)")
Seniority level (e.g., "Early Career / Individual Contributor")
Expertise Areas:
Your core skills and specializations
What you're known for professionally
Your Identity Core anchors everything else—it's who you are at the foundation of your LinkedIn presence.
Layer 2: Voice Signature (Orange)
"How You Communicate"
This layer defines your unique communication style and tone.
What it includes:
Tone Profile:
Primary: Your main tone (e.g., "Authentic")
Secondary: Supporting tones (e.g., "Humble")
Tertiary: Additional characteristics (e.g., "Reflective," "Conversational," "Growth-oriented")
Voice Characteristics:
Number of tone layers (e.g., "5")
Hook types you use (e.g., "5")
Style descriptor (e.g., "UNIQUE")
Your Authentic Voice:
A defining quote that captures your style
Example: "Your authentic voice."
Hook Strategies:
The types of openings you use
Example: "Personal confessions or realizations"
Voice Signature ensures AI-generated content sounds like you, not a generic bot.
Layer 3: Content Pillars (Purple)
"What You Create"
This layer outlines your content strategy and main topics.
What it includes:
Content Strategy:
Posting frequency (e.g., "3-4 posts/week")
Optimal posting times (e.g., "—" if not set)
Number of pillars (e.g., "5")
Your Content Blueprint:
A description of your content approach
Example: "Your content blueprint."
💡 Note: If you're creating content templates, you can include example topics to guide your team. For instance:
Main Topics: The 5 core themes you write about:
Customer Success fundamentals
Career development and job search
Personal learning and growth mindset
Product exploration and AI tools
Work habits and productivity
These are example topics - customize them based on your organization's focus areas.
Recommended posting:
Post 3-4 times per week
Focus on your 5 pillars in rotation
This creates consistency without burnout
Layer 4: Positioning Layer (Red/Pink)
"Your Unique Angle"
This layer defines what makes you different and memorable.
What it includes:
Your Unique Positioning:
What sets you apart
Your distinct perspective or approach
How you differentiate from others in your field
Strategic Positioning Elements:
Your niche or specialization
The unique value you provide
Your competitive advantage
💡 Why it matters: Positioning helps you stand out in a crowded LinkedIn feed and attract the right opportunities.
Layer 5: Audience Field (Green - Outer)
"Who You Reach"
This is the outermost circle—defining who you're creating content for. This is the most important layer.
What it includes:
Target Market:
Primary audience description
Example: "B2B SaaS - LinkedIn content creators, professionals, and businesses"
Audience Summary:
Number of segments (e.g., "2")
Focus (e.g., "B2B")
Reach (e.g., "GLOBAL")
The People You Serve:
A tagline describing your audience
Example: "The people you serve."

Reference it when writing manually
Use it to evaluate post ideas
Share your positioning:
Let your unique angle shine through
Don't be afraid to be specific
Your positioning attracts the right people
Avoid This:
Ignoring your Content DNA after setup
Creating content that contradicts your pillars
Trying to appeal to everyone (stick to your audience)
Copying others' voices instead of using yours
