Get Started Guide for Individual Users

A detailed step-by-step guide for individual users who are looking to crush on LinkedIn using Supergrow.

Updated this week

You’ve already signed up, so now the real work begins. Think of this guide as your onboarding partner. It’ll walk you through how to turn your ideas into scroll-stopping LinkedIn posts, how to stay consistent, and how to grow by actually engaging with the right people.

Let’s dive in.

Account Setup

Before you start creating content or engaging with your network, Supergrow needs to understand two things:

  1. Who you are on LinkedIn

  2. How you naturally communicate

Once these two pieces are in place, everything else feels smoother, more personal, and more accurate.

1. Connect your LinkedIn account

What this step is and when to use it

This is the foundation of your Supergrow experience. Connecting your LinkedIn account allows Supergrow to pull your profile insights, read your posting history, and prepare content suggestions that fit your goals.

You do this once, right at the start.

How to do it

  1. Go to Settings inside Supergrow

  2. Select LinkedIn Accounts

  3. Click Add Account

  4. Approve the permissions

linkedin account connection on Supergrow

How this helps you

  • Lets Supergrow analyze your past posts and engagement patterns

  • Makes AI-generated content match your voice and audience

  • Unlocks analytics tracking for growth and insights

Example

If your past posts perform well when you share personal stories, Supergrow will detect that tone and lean toward that style when generating content for you.

Tip: If you ever change your LinkedIn password, just reconnect once. It takes a few seconds.

2. Set up your content writing style

What this step is and when to use it

This tells Supergrow how you sound. Whether you're crisp, sarcastic, inspirational, or blunt, this step makes sure every piece of content feels authentic.

You do this once when you start, and you can fine-tune it anytime.

How to do it

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Open Content Writing Style

  3. Click on Create New Writing Style

  4. Click on Add Posts, and now you have two options:

    1. Copy and paste least 10 LinkedIn posts to learn from

    2. Add a LinkedIn profile URL from which you want the system to learn.

  5. Save your style

How this helps you

  • Your posts stop sounding like generic AI

  • Repurposed content stays consistent

  • Every idea you generate feels like something you’d actually say

Example

If your tone is direct and practical, Supergrow avoids fluffy intros and gives you sharp, to-the-point posts.

Tip: Use an old LinkedIn post that performed well as the sample. It’s one of the best ways for Supergrow to learn your voice quickly.

You’re all set. Your LinkedIn is connected, your writing style is locked in, and Supergrow now has everything it needs to produce content that reflects your personality. This is where things get fun.

Let’s dive into your content creation toolbox and help you publish consistently without overthinking.

Content Creation

When you’re getting started on LinkedIn, the biggest challenge is usually the same: “What do I even post?”

Supergrow solves this by giving you three different ways to create content, depending on how you think, how much time you have, and how personal you want your posts to be.

Below is a clear, step-by-step breakdown of each option.

Option 1: Start a Postcast Session

What this is (and when to use it)

Postcast is your personal AI interviewer. Instead of staring at a blank screen, you just talk.

Supergrow asks you smart questions about your topic and extracts your insights, turning them into polished LinkedIn content.

Use this when:

  • You think better while talking

  • You want deeper, more thoughtful posts

  • You struggle to “write” but can speak freely

How to use it

  1. Click Postcast from the left side menu

  2. Type the topic you want to talk about

  3. Start the session and answer the questions (short answers are fine)

  4. Supergrow turns your responses into a draft

  5. Edit, save, or schedule your post.

How this helps you

  • You unlock insights that usually stay in your head

  • You create content that sounds like you, not generic AI

  • You build more authentic and authority-driven posts

Example

Topic: “My first month building a SaaS product”

Postcast may ask:

  • “What surprised you the most?”

  • “What did you underestimate?”

  • “What would you do differently next time?”

Your answers become a strong, relatable LinkedIn post.

Tip: If you feel stuck, answer like you're talking to a friend. Natural answers make the best posts.

Option 2: Create content from a topic

What this is (and when to use it)

This is the fastest way to generate content.

Just drop a keyword or a topic, and Supergrow generates a post based on it.

Use this when:

  • You want quick inspiration

  • You need posts for the week

  • You want to stay consistent without spending too much time

How to use it

  1. Go to Post Generator

  2. Select Generate Post from Scratch

  3. Enter your topic

  4. Choose the content style you prefer

  5. Save or edit the result

How this helps you

  • You’ll never run out of ideas

  • You can quickly test topics and see what resonates

  • You save time while keeping your posting streak alive

Example

Topic: “Mistakes to avoid while doing a cold outreach in 2025

Supergrow may generate angles like:

  • A story post

  • A mistake post

  • A how-to post

  • A personal lesson highlight

Tip: Use keywords from your daily experiences: a client conversation, a challenge, or something you Googled today.

Option 3: Repurpose Existing Content

What this is (and when to use it)

Every good post can become 10 more.

If you already have content (blogs, videos, notes), you can turn them into new formats instantly.

Use this when:

  • You want to increase content output

  • You want to revisit old ideas

  • You want your best ideas to reach more people

How to use it

  1. Go to Post Generator

  2. Navigate to Repurpose Content

  3. Pick options depending on your existing content

  4. Turn it into a LinkedIn post

How this helps you

  • You get more visibility from the same ideas

  • You save time by recycling proven content

  • You build thematic consistency on your profile

Engage

Most people treat engagement as an afterthought, but this is where relationships are built. Posting helps people discover you. Engaging helps people remember you.

This section shows you how to stay consistent without wasting time scrolling aimlessly.

1. Find People to Engage With

What this step is and when to use it

If your feed feels random or low-quality, you’ll waste time commenting on posts that don’t lead anywhere.

This step helps you curate your environment so you're engaging with people who actually influence your niche, your customers, or people you genuinely want to learn from.

How to do it

Here are proven ways to find high-signal profiles manually:

  • Use LinkedIn Search:

Search for topics you care about. Filter by "People" or "Posts" and look for voices that stand out.

  • Check Comments on Popular Posts:

Good commenters are usually active creators. You’ll find many underrated creators here.

  • Follow people your favorite creators engage with:

This is the fastest way to find high-quality accounts similar to your heroes.

  • Use your existing network:

People who already engage with you are usually warm connections worth nurturing.

How this helps you

A curated engagement list:

  • Improves the quality of your feed

  • Helps you engage with relevant conversations

  • Increases your chances of getting noticed by the right audience

  • Builds real relationships that lead to opportunities

Example

If your niche is marketing, search for:

“B2B marketing”, “founder-led marketing”, “growth strategy”, “SaaS marketing”, then look at active creators posting under these topics.

Tip: Don’t follow too many people at once. Start with 10 to 20 and refine the list based on whose content genuinely resonates with you.

2. Create Lists of People

What this step is and when to use it

Once you’ve found high-quality profiles, you don’t want to lose them in the chaos of the LinkedIn feed.

Lists help you organize these people into groups that match your goals.

How to do it

  1. Go to Engage inside Supergrow

  2. Click “Create New List

  3. Add people based on category

    Example groups:

    • Industry experts

    • Ideal customers

    • Peers

    • People who often engage with you

  4. Add 10 to 20 people per list to keep it manageable

How this helps you

Lists remove randomness. With one click, you can jump into a feed of the exact people you want to build relationships with.

Example

You might have:

  • “Founders I admire”

  • “People who already engage with me”

  • “Warm prospects”

Tip: Update your lists weekly. Remove inactive profiles and add new ones you discover.

3. Start Commenting

What this step is and when to use it

This is where visibility, connection, and trust start forming.

Commenting every day (even 5 to 10 comments) is enough to change your LinkedIn trajectory.

How to do it

  1. Open a list inside Supergrow

  2. Supergrow shows you fresh posts from those people

  3. Start adding thoughtful comments

  4. Use Supergrow’s comment writer only when needed

  5. Keep your comments punchy, personal, and genuine

How this helps you

  • You’ll consistently stay top-of-mind for the right audience

  • You’ll get more profile visits

  • Your own posts will get more engagement

  • You’ll build relationships faster than by posting alone

Example

Instead of writing “Great point”, say: “I tried this last quarter, and the results were unexpected. Here’s what actually worked for me…”

Your comment should add value or add perspective.

Tip: Comment before you post your content. You’ll get a significant boost in your own post’s engagement.

Analytics

Understand what’s working, spot trends, and grow faster with data you can actually use.

Analytics in Supergrow is designed to help you answer a simple question:

Is my LinkedIn content moving in the right direction?

Instead of guessing, you get clear signals on what’s working and what needs a tweak.

What Analytics Helps You Do

  • See how your profile is growing over time

  • Understand what type of content resonates

  • Identify what engagement patterns to repeat

  • Find your most supportive commenters

  • Spot weaknesses in your posting strategy early

Add your LinkedIn profile

When to use it

Do this once, ideally right after you start creating content. Connecting your profile allows Supergrow to automatically pull your growth data so you can track your progress without manual updates.

How to do it

  1. Go to the Analytics page.

  2. Click the “Add LinkedIn Profile” button.

  3. Paste your LinkedIn profile URL.

  4. Save it.

That’s it. You’re done.

Once your profile is added, Supergrow quietly collects insights for you. You’ll start seeing your data populate within a short period.

What you unlock after adding your profile

1. Follower and connection growth

Monitor whether your audience is increasing. A steady rise means your content and engagement are resonating.

How it helps

You’ll immediately know which weeks you improved and which weeks dipped, so you can adjust your strategy instead of guessing.

2. Engagement growth

This dashboard shows how people interact with your content over time.

How it helps

You’ll spot patterns like

“My posts with stories get more comments”

or

“My tactical posts get more shares.”

Knowing what performs well means you can double down.

3. Top commenters

See who shows up for you consistently.

How it helps

These people are your warmest audience. Reply to them, build relationships, and turn them into advocates.

4. Post-wise analytics

Deep dive into each post and see exactly what worked.

How it helps

You’ll learn which hooks, formats, and topics drive the highest impact. Over time, your content becomes more intentional and much more effective.

Tip: Check Analytics once a week, not every day. Growth comes from patterns, not hourly fluctuations.

That’s everything you need to get started with confidence.

You’ve set the foundation. Now build momentum.

Start creating, start engaging, and keep tracking your progress. Consistency wins on LinkedIn.
